I've been bad

So, for the past 11/2 to 2 months I've been pretty slack in maintaining a healthy diet.  I've indulged in ice cream (possibly the best summer time treat) , popsicles, chocolate covered almonds, and coffee.  I haven't really gone over board, I would say something bad every other day, but since I usually have a pretty clean and healthy diet I'm feeling the effects already - tired, sluggish, my digestion is off, mental fog and sleep disturbance.  I had no idea I would be affected so quickly.I've decided to do a general detox to rid my body of the junk I've put in lately.  I need to do this so that I can feel better.  I know that fasting is not a good way to detox since my liver will need many different nutrients to run properly and clean my blood and convert toxins so they can be excreted.   I'm going to focus on raw fruits and vegetables and good protein. So I know what I've done wrong and I know how to fix it.  But my bigger problem is lack of will power because I'm sure that I will start to slip again.  Does anyone have any tips on how to get will power and control?  Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for any suggestions!

Hey Shaku, We're all in this

Hey Shaku,
We're all in this with you!
I read somewhere that there is a direct correlation between the summer season and the increase risk of diabetes - from all that sugar!

Good thing is that we can detox as the season changes to autumn. I'm not a big fan of drastic detoxification, more along the lines of returning to healthy eating, increasing bitters, 'cleaner foods'. But, hey, whatever works for you and your liver.
